The 2026 2nd International Conference on Big Data, Internet of Things and Intelligent Transportation (BDIT 2026) Successfully Held in Zhengzhou

From June 26 to 28, 2026, the 2026 2nd International Conference on Big Data, Internet of Things and Intelligent Transportation (BDIT 2026) was held at the Zhengdong Campus of Henan Communications Polytechnic.

The conference was guided by the Zhengzhou Zhongyuan Science City Administrative Committee, the Henan Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Center, and the Henan Natural Science Foundation Committee. It was jointly organized by Henan Communications Polytechnic and Henan University, and co-organized by Henan Communications Engineering Technology Group Co., Ltd., the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Henan University, and the School of Artificial Intelligence of Henan University. It also received support from Harbin Institute of Technology Zhengzhou Advanced Research Institute, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Beijing Institute of Technology, Henan Provincial Highway Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Henan Zhongyuan Expressway Co., Ltd., CCCC Guotong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Zhonggong Design & Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., Henan Communications Investment Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd., Henan Langneng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Diyao Traffic Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Xindafang Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Hengjian Testing Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Leishen Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute, and the Henan Association for the Promotion of Work for Academicians and Experts, among others.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Xiaoqiang Li, Vice President of Henan Communications Polytechnic. Opening remarks were delivered by Hongyu Xu, President of Henan Communications Polytechnic; Liping Zhu, President of the Henan Highway Society; and Lin Xie, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Division of the Henan Provincial Department of Transportation. They each congratulated the conference on its successful convening.

Seven experts delivered keynote reports, including Tai Wang, former Deputy Director-General of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport; Wenquan Li, Professor at Southeast University; Mingshan Xie, Professor at Guizhou University; Duo Li, Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Yi Zhou, Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Henan University; Xudong Shao, Director of the Geotechnical Engineering Research Institute of Henan Communications Engineering Technology Group; and Lin Gao, General Manager of Henan Hengjian Testing Co., Ltd. They successively gave excellent presentations on topics including exploration and practice of digital transformation and upgrading of highways, modular ride-hailing transfer buses and their optimization problems, from Robotruck design to exploration of navigation enhancement through experience replay, from accurate prediction to resilient prediction: research on EV charging demand forecasting against cyberattacks, the evolution of key technologies for AI-driven smart three-dimensional transportation, key technologies for monitoring typical natural disasters on mountainous expressways based on 5G and satellite IoT, and innovative practice of AI monitoring platforms and engineering digital employees.

A total of 18 young scholars from universities such as Henan University, Henan Normal University, Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, and Guangxi University gave academic exchange presentations on topics related to big data, the Internet of Things, and smart transportation.

At the conference, more than 40 technological achievements were showcased and released, including the three-dimensional intelligent defect detection system for highway bridges based on multifunctional UAVs, hierarchical control technology for four-wheel independent steering distributed-drive vehicles based on a virtual variable wheelbase, complete application technology for basalt fiber asphalt concrete pavement, basalt fiber ultra-high-performance concrete technology, a quality inspection management platform for transportation infrastructure construction, and complete intelligent health monitoring technologies for long-span bridges.

More than 440 representatives from over 100 universities, research institutes, and enterprises attended the conference, including participants from Jiangsu University, Yangtze University, Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, Henan Provincial Highway Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., Henan Zhongyuan Expressway Co., Ltd., CCCC Guotong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Zhonggong Design & Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., and Henan Communications Investment Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd.
